Ascend (Trylle, #3) by Amanda Hocking

Ascend (Trylle Trilogy #3)Ascend by Amanda Hocking

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The final book in the Trylle Trilogy. I love this series!! It's about trolls, but not the ugly kind. And they have powers too. Wendy is a mix breed. And she is in love...and is being threatened. Her father is convinced that he is going to rule over Trylle, but not on Wendy's watch. She is going to protect her kingdom or die trying. That is what everyone else is going to try to prevent, especially a certain someone!!! ;) This is the best out of the three!!! It is recommended that you read the first and second books, Switched and Torn. Amanda Hocking has done a great job with this trilogy, and I can't wait to see what more books she has in store.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't.

I thought this was a very different take on dystopian novels. Love is a disease and there is a procedure so that you don't have to suffer the pain that we do today when we break up with someone. I have never read a book like this.

This book is about a girl named Lena who follows the rules because the procedure didn't work for her mother and she doesn't want to end up like her. Then she meets Alex. He is different and has a dark secret. One that will change Lena's view of her society and her view of herself. She has to make many difficult decisions. Ones that will change, not only her life, but also her family and friends.

Sometimes I didn't know what was going on, but this is a book that I would recommend you read at least once. I would give this book 4/5 stars. It was an interesting twist on a dystopian world over come by a disease called LOVE or as the book calls it, amor deliria nervosa.

Teaser Tuesday 10/22 & Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth

One choice will define you.

What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

Review and Teaser!!!!

I will not reveal anything until November when the Divergent fans have had a chance to read (and be angry) Allegiant. The ending is way off base to what I thought and would have wanted to happen. It and the whole series deserve the upmost praise for the world that has captured this nations attention. Definitely a 5 star read!!! Now for the teaser:

He bends over to untie his shoes. "So, have you been ostracized from your little crowd of devotees?"
"No," I say automatically. Then I add, Maybe. But they aren't my devotees."
"Please. They are like the Cult of Four."
I can't help but laugh. "Jealous? Wish you had a Cult of Psychopaths to call your very own?"
One of his eyes twitched up. "If I was a psychopath, I would have killed you in your sleep by now."
"And added my eyeballs to your eyeball collection, no doubt."

Peter laughs too, and I realize that I am exchanging jokes and conversation with the initiate who stabbed Edward in the eye and tried to kill my girlfriend—if she's still that. But then, he's also the Dauntless who helped us end the attack simulation and saved Tris from a horrible death. I am not sure which actions should weigh more heavenly in my mind. Maybe I should forget them all, let him begin again.

Such a Rush by Jennifer Echlos

A sexy and poignant romantic tale of a young daredevil pilot caught between two brothers.

When I was fourteen, I made a decision. If I was doomed to live in a trailer park next to an airport, I could complain about the smell of the jet fuel like my mom, I could drink myself to death over the noise like everybody else, or I could learn to fly.

Heaven Beach, South Carolina, is anything but, if you live at the low-rent end of town. All her life, Leah Jones has been the grown-up in her family, while her mother moves from boyfriend to boyfriend, letting any available money slip out of her hands. At school, they may diss Leah as trash, but she’s the one who negotiates with the landlord when the rent’s not paid. At fourteen, she’s the one who gets a job at the nearby airstrip.

But there’s one way Leah can escape reality. Saving every penny she can, she begs quiet Mr. Hall, who runs an aerial banner-advertising business at the airstrip and also offers flight lessons, to take her up just once. Leaving the trailer park far beneath her and swooping out over the sea is a rush greater than anything she’s ever experienced, and when Mr. Hall offers to give her cut-rate flight lessons, she feels ready to touch the sky.

By the time she’s a high school senior, Leah has become a good enough pilot that Mr. Hall offers her a job flying a banner plane. It seems like a dream come true . . . but turns out to be just as fleeting as any dream. Mr. Hall dies suddenly, leaving everything he owned in the hands of his teenage sons: golden boy Alec and adrenaline junkie Grayson. And they’re determined to keep the banner planes flying.

Though Leah has crushed on Grayson for years, she’s leery of getting involved in what now seems like a doomed business—until Grayson betrays her by digging up her most damning secret. Holding it over her head, he forces her to fly for secret reasons of his own, reasons involving Alec. Now Leah finds herself drawn into a battle between brothers—and the consequences could be deadly.

Such a RushSuch a Rush by Jennifer Echols

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I never thought this would be a book I liked. It had to do with airplanes and you never see a book with airplanes in it. I was wrong. Jennifer Echols did a marvelous job on this book. It was captivating. I could put this book down. I have read this book 3 times and it I just love it. It has everything a teen book should have and more!!! Two brothers, one girl. Romance, betrayal, tension, and understanding. It has everything. I totally recommend it for those who want a YA book that has everything your looking for and then some.

Leah is a brave girl who has to rely on herself to get things done. She is someone who doesn't put up with the tough stuff in life. She is someone I want as a friend. Grayson is an adrenaline junkie turned airport boss. He wants everything to go his way or no way. Alec is the golden boy with a desire for something different. (It's a taboo for Grayson!!!) Leah is forced to do something for Grayson. Something she never would have thought she would have to do. Grayson needs Leah, but not for the reason you think.

THis books is a five star book. I would give it more stars if I could. ITS A TO-READ BOOK!!!!

A great twist on a classic tale. A magnificent novel. Stacey Jay did a great job on rewriting a classic. Gem, a monstrous boy who will do anything to bring food to his hungry people. Tiger's Curse (Tiger's Curse #1)

Passion. Fate. Loyalty.

Would you risk it all to change your destiny?

The last thing Kelsey Hayes thought she’d be doing this summer was trying to break a 300-year-old Indian curse. With a mysterious white tiger named Ren. Halfway around the world. But that’s exactly what happened. Face-to-face with dark forces, spellbinding magic, and mystical worlds where nothing is what it seems, Kelsey risks everything to piece together an ancient prophecy that could break the curse forever.

Tiger’s Curse is the exciting first volume in an epic fantasy-romance that will leave you breathless and yearning for more.

Tiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga, #1)Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing. I couldn't put it down. It's a hopeless romantic's favorite book. You just can't help but love the characters, except the villain. It's a must read for everyone. Completely captivating. I have read a book like this. It is one of many favorite books. Now I have a white tiger obsession!!! Ren is a handsome, romantic, charming guy who is every girls dream in a guy. Kelsey is a smart, sarcastic, down to earth girl who know what she wants, but is afraid of what will happen when she lets her guard around her down. Colleen Houck did a fantastic job writing this book and I can't wait for the rest of the series.!!!!!

Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2)Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Absolutely fabulous!!!! The next step up from the Throne of Glass. I couldn't stop reading. I had to see where this was going to go. The plots, the betrayals, the romance, and the friendships. Everything is at stake in this book and that just makes it all better. If you were wondering who are Celeana's parents were, you'll find out in this book, and then some. You will find out what makes her Celeana, who is she and who her parents are, and who is beg=hind her parents death as well as the murderer of a friend hers. It is a most read. But before this, read the Throne of Glass. Sarah Mass did a fabulous job for the sequal and I can't wait to find out whats in store for Celeana, Chaol, and Dorian.

Partials

Partials (Partials, #1)Partials by Dan Wells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thought it was a good book. A real page-turner. A virus that kills newborn babies, a corrupt government, and people who look human but aren't called Partials. What more could u ask for? How about a girl that would do anything to save her BFF's baby and the future of the human race, even willing to risk her own life. She is fighting for a cause she believes in whole-heartedly. You don't see that now-a-days. If you like dystopian novels, I suggest you read this. You might just be inspired.

A Beautiful Dark

On the night of Skye’s seventeenth birthday, she meets two enigmatic strangers. Complete opposites—like fire and ice—Asher is dark and wild, while Devin is fair and aloof. Their sudden appearance sends Skye’s life into a tailspin. She has no idea what they want, or why they seem to follow her every move—only that their presence coincides with a flurry of strange events. Soon she begins to doubt not just the identity of the two boys, but also the truth about her own past.

In the dead of a bitingly cold Colorado winter, Skye finds herself coming to terms with the impossible secret that threatens to shatter her world. Torn between Asher, who she can’t help falling for, and Devin, who she can’t stay away from, the consequences of Skye’s choice will reach further than the three of them could ever imagine.

A Beautiful Dark is the first book in a captivating trilogy by debut author Jocelyn Davies.

A Beautiful Dark (A Beautiful Dark, #1)A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two guys, one girl. Same old story. WRONG!!! This is so much more. It's about love, choices, and free will. Skye has a choice to make. Will she choose Asher and free will or Devin and no chaos in the world? Who knows, well besides those of you who have read the book. It is a different take on an angel-inspired book.I thought it would be another "girl falls for fallen angel" book, but I was wrong. I couldn't put it down. I'm just happy I'm not her. Two boys who are very different. Two councils who want to use her. Yeah, I like my life better. But I can't wait to see how things turn out in the second book. But to some up the book, its: Guardians VS. Rebels. Light VS. Dark. Orders VS. Love. Choices will be made, but what and who will she choose?

Fabulous!!! Fascinating!! What an exceptional book. I didn't understand what was happening at first, then as I read on it just got better!!!! Such an interesting take on a book. There are always copies of mythes like angels, werewolves, vampire, etc, but this is uniquely it's own category!!!! Indelible is a must read for everyone!! You have to be someone who has either the Sight or a strong Will to survive The Twixt. And some advice: always remember to take the message.
