WoW 1/22/14 Seeress (Runes, #3) by Ednah Wlaters

Seeress (Runes, #3) by Ednah Walters

I love Torin St. James...
I crave his touch...
I need his strength...

Raine Cooper is certain of two things: her love for Torin St. James and her destiny to be a powerful seeress. But when she starts having premonitions, they are unclear and disturbing. Worse, they involve Torin. Not sure what to do, she keeps quiet.
But when the visions are about her and another man, Raine realizes she needs to talk to someone. Just her luck two new students arrive at her school and they seem to have answers. When with them, her powers are enhanced and her visions become clear. There is only one problem: Torin does not want Raine to have anything to do with the two girls but he won't explain why.
Can their love survive the secrets they are keeping from each other?

This is the third book in the Rune series and it will be amazing!! There are HOT GUYS in this series if anyone wanted to know. There is Torian, Echo, Eric, and many more if you can "see throughout the mist." I hope you guys add this book to your Goodreads TBR shelf and read the first 2 and novella!! This is going to be good!

WoW 1/15/14 The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #3) by Michelle Hodkins

The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #3)
by Michelle Hodkins

It had to end sometime, but Mara had no idea it would end like this. Experience the mind-blowing conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Mara Dyer trilogy.

Loyalties are betrayed, guilt and innocence tangle, and fate and chance collide in this shocking conclusion to Mara Dyer’s story.

This is one of my favorite thriller series. It seems like a psychological thriller, but it is the best one I have read so far. I recommend this series to anyone who likes paranormal romance, YA, mystery, and fantasy books. I recommend  the first book to one of my best friends and he loved it! Now we anxiously wait for June 10 when this last book comes out and the mystery of Mara Dyer is solved!

On Internment, the floating island in the clouds where 16-year-old Morgan Stockhour lives, getting too close to the edge can lead to madness. Even though Morgan's older brother, Lex, was a Jumper, Morgan vows never to end up like him. Aimee Carter has written the Goddess Test series and they are absolutely wonderful. They are about Greek Mythology. WoW 11/13/13 Champion (Legend, #3) by Marie Lu

Champion (Legend, #3) by Marie Lu

He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?

June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.

I can't wait to read this. The first two books were amazing, but this is going to decide everything once and for all!!! I really can't say more about this book until I read it and for people to read the first two, Legend and Prodigy. I think I need a re-read of both books so that I can be prepared for what's going to go down in Republic History.

Legend:

What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

Prodigy:

Injured and on the run, it has been seven days since June and Day barely escaped Los Angeles and the Republic with their lives. Day is believed dead having lost his own brother to an execution squad who thought they were assassinating him. June is now the Republic's most wanted traitor. Desperate for help, they turn to the Patriots - a vigilante rebel group sworn to bring down the Republic. But can they trust them or have they unwittingly become pawns in the most terrifying of political games?

WoW 11/6/13 Enders (Starters #2) by Lissa Price

Enders (Starters #2) by Lissa Price

With the Prime Destinations body bank destroyed, Callie no longer has to rent herself out to creepy Enders. But  Enders can still get inside her mind and make her do things she doesn't want to do. Like hurt someone she loves. Having the chip removed could save Callie's life - but it could also silence the voice in her head that might belong to her father. Callie has flashes of her ex-renter Helena's memories, too ...and the Old Man is back, filling her with fear. Who is real and who is masquerading in a teen body? This is the thrilling sequel to "Starters"

First, The first book was amazing!!!! What a great view on our Dystopian future! But the one thing I don't like about this book is the cover! If you bought the first book with the original cover, then this one would make no sense!!!

First Cover:

Second Cover:

The better choice for the second book would be to do something close to this:

This looks closer to the original cover then the one that is going to be actually on the book. This would be my only dislike about the series. The change in covers make my book reading friends and I angry!. Chose one and stick to it!!

Starters By Lissa Price:

You can’t get them out of your head. . . .

Callie lost her parents when the Spore Wars wiped out everyone between the ages of twenty and sixty. She and her little brother, Tyler, go on the run, living as squatters with their friend Michael and fighting off renegades who would kill them for a cookie.
Callie’s only hope is Prime Destinations, a disturbing place in Beverly Hills run by a mysterious figure known as the Old Man. He hires teens to rent their bodies to Enders—seniors who want to be young again. Callie, desperate for the money that will keep her, Tyler, and Michael alive, agrees to be a donor. But the neurochip they place in Callie’s head malfunctions and she wakes up in the life of her renter.

Waiting on Wensday 10/30/13 The Shadowhunters' Codex

The Shadowhunters' Codex by Cassandra Claire

The Clave is pleased to announce the newest edition of the Nephilim’s oldest and most famous training manual: the Shadowhunter’s Codex. Since the thirteenth century, the Codex has been the young Shadowhunter’s best friend. When you’re being swarmed by demons it can be easy to forget the finer points of obscure demon languages or the fastest way to stop an attack of Raum demons. With the Codex by your side, you never have to worry.

Now in its twenty-seventh edition, the Codex covers it all: the history and the laws of our world; how to identify, interact with, and if necessary, kill that world’s many colorful denizens; which end of the stele is the end you write with. No more will your attempt to fight off rogue vampires and warlocks be slowed by the need to answer endless questions from your new recruits: What is a Pyxis? Why don’t we use guns? If I can’t see a warlock’s mark, is there a polite way to ask him where it is? Where do we get all our holy water? Geography, History, Magic, and Zoology textbook all rolled into one, the Codex is here to help new Shadowhunters navigate the beautiful, often brutal world that we inhabit.

Do not let it be said that the Clave is outdated or, as the younger Shadowhunters say, “uncool”: this new edition of the Codex will be available not only in the usual magically-sealed demonskin binding, but also in a smart, modern edition using all of today’s most exciting printing techniques, including such new features as a sturdy clothbound cover, a protective dust jacket, and information about title, author, publisher, and so on conveniently available right on the cover. You’ll be pleased to know that it fits neatly into most satchels, and unlike previous editions, it rarely sets off alarm wards.

The old woodcuts and engravings have been replaced as well: instead, you’ll find lavish modern illustrations by some of the brightest luminaries of the fantastic. Creatures, weapons, people, and places have been carefully and accurately rendered by the likes of Rebecca Guay, Charles Vess, Jim Nelson, Theo Black, Elisabeth Alba, and Cassandra Jean. Chapters are beautifully introduced by the drawings of Michael Kaluta, and along with our condensation of the classic 2,450-page tome, A History of the Nephilim, you will find a selection of the best of the lovely illustrations of that volume by John Dollar.

This edition of the Codex will be available in Institute libraries and what mundanes sometimes call “book stores” in [OCTOBER], 2013

OMG!!!!! The Codex is coming out soon!!!!!! It comes out on the 29th!!! I am so excited to see the runes and read what makes a shadowhunter a shadowhunter. Not as good as Jace (besides who could as good as Jace?), but not bad like Sebastian or Valentine. Those of you who haven't read or haven't heard of TMI, the series are The Mortal Instruments (TMI) and Clockwork Angel (CA, came up with all by myself!) by Cassandra Claire. The Mortal Instruments is about a girl named Clary Fray who stumbles into a never before seen world and when I saw never before seen, I mean it. Humans or mundanes as Shadowhunters call them, are just ordinary people just like you and me. Then, she meets Jace, an arrogant, good looking guy who she had an unfortunate run in with when she and her best friend Simon were at a club and she saw this guy (Jace) kill a guy or was it? She is then forced into his world when her mom is kidnapped. Now she has to rely on Jace for help. Everything expands from there. Clockwork Angel is set back in time, but is the back story of how all of TMI became what it is today. It is such a recommened series and I dare you to try it. It's a guranteded must read and an all time favorite.!!!!!

At the same time, she's learning how to survive in hiding, following Sam's rules: Don't draw attention to yourself. Always carry a weapon. Know your surroundings. Watch your back.

Jennifer Rush delivers a thrilling sequel to Altered in a novel packed with mysteries, lies, and surprises that are sure to keep readers guessing until the last page is turned

There is one big stand out that makes me want to wait to for this book, besides it's the sequel to a great mystery book. It's the guy!! He is shirtless and cute!!! How could you not want to read this series after seeing this cover. It just makes you want to swoon, unless you have a boyfriend. Then I suggest you swoon when he is not around you! LOL. Let's just face it, he is hot!!! The only bummer is that the release date is January 7th, 2014. So far away. *sigh* Oh well, all I can hope for is that you guys read and love the first book so we can wait in suspense for the sequel.

Ever since rebellion broke out in Mystic City, pitting the ruling elite against the magic-wielding mystics, Aria has barely seen her boyfriend. Not surprising, since Hunter is the leader of the mystic uprising, and he'll do whatever it takes to win freedom for his people—even if that means using Aria.

But Aria is no one's pawn. She believes she can bring the two warring sides together, save the city, and win back the Hunter she fell in love with.
