Right Now (A Moment #2)

Sometimes in life....

Things were supposed to get better when Ryan met Lili. I was supposed to move on, get a life... but I'm stuck and lost. Things with my father are not good. There are demons in our closet, big ones. Ones I want to kill him for, I'm seeing a shrink, I'm trying to get better... but my life feels out of control, like I'm a raft adrift on the sea. I don't know where to look, how to get anchored again, and then I meet Zoe Stone. Something about her draws me out of my rut, makes me laugh for real, smile, and for the first time in years I want to be more. But what will she think when she discovers who I really am?

...all we have...

When Alexander Donovan, aka The Golden Adonis, walks into my tattoo parlor, I know I'll do anything to make that man mine. There's an instant connection, a need to know more about him. Everything about him. But there's also a mystery surrounding the guy, when people look at him they only see the man that laughs, that cracks jokes and makes the world think that everything's okay, but I see the truth... I see the darkness that lurks so deep inside few would ever recognize it. I want to help him, I want to be with him, now I just have to make him trust me enough to let me in.

Is Right Now

Right Now (Moments, #2)Right Now by Marie Hall

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was such an unbelievable story. This wasn't like any other book that I have read (other then the first book, A Moment). This whole story, not just this book, was about a dark past that two young men had to go through and two girls who could save them from drowning in pain and suffering. Both experience physical, emotional, and mental pain. This book specially was about speaking out, facing your past, and coming to grips about who you are now, not in your past. Ryan and Alex have been through so much and they deserve someone who can forgive them and give them the strength they never had. Both want a person who can be real with them, who can put up with their BS, and love them for who they are now, and not pity them. This was an excellent series and I can't wait for the last book. Warning: People under 16 should not read this.

This book specially was about a guy named Alex who had witnessed a terrible and scaring sight. Zoe has always wanted to be accepted by her family, especially her mother. She realized that was never going to happen. So she started to dress a little gothic to PO her parents and it has worked. Now she works at a tattoo parlor and was the Ice Queen when it came to guys, but not Alex Donavon. Alex is completely mesmerized when he sees Zoe and to be with her before he even knew her. She has had a crush on Alex since high school and still does, even when he makes a big mistake. I suggest that you read this book. It is a real book and it makes you think about some people have to go through in their past to be who they are today.

Derek and Sofia should always be together or bad things will happen like Derek blacking out. Derek needs Sofia to hold back the darkness and Sofia needs Derek to feel complete. Sofia is stronger then people give her credit for. She made decisions nobody could make. She.......yeah I'm not going to tell you. You will have to read it for your self. I wish I could be a the Shade with Sofia and Derek. They are such weird people that you just can't help but love them.

Ascend (Trylle Trilogy #3)Ascend by Amanda Hocking

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The final book in the Trylle Trilogy. I love this series!! It's about trolls, but not the ugly kind. And they have powers too. Wendy is a mix breed. And she is in love...and is being threatened. Her father is convinced that he is going to rule over Trylle, but not on Wendy's watch. She is going to protect her kingdom or die trying. That is what everyone else is going to try to prevent, especially a certain someone!!! ;) This is the best out of the three!!! It is recommended that you read the first and second books, Switched and Torn. Amanda Hocking has done a great job with this trilogy, and I can't wait to see what more books she has in store.

Such a great sequel!!!! I wish I was a Neph too!!! Love Anna and Love Kaiden. Best couple in this book! Anna is heartbroken because of Kaiden and Kaiden is sad because of Anna. Love is in the air. But somethings may not be as they seem. Twists and turns come Anna's way she has to be able to face them, but what about Kaiden? Will she be with Kaiden in the end or will they never be together? You find out in this book!!! The gang is back in this one. Ginger and Marna, Blake and Kope, and finally...Kaiden and Anna!!! Absolutely LOVE this series. One of the best Angel Vs. Demons books I have ever read. Although I don't envy their situations and parents, the gang turned out pretty well!! Totally recommend this book and series to everyone.

Thousands of humans crossed over to Loge after a poisonous neurotoxin released into Earth's atmosphere, nearly killing them. But on Loge, nothing is as it seems...and no one can be trusted.

Hover (The Taking, #2)Hover by Melissa West

It was nothing like I thought it would be. It's extraterrestrially extraordinary!! Get it? Extraterrestrial? It's about aliens!! Yeah, so, I thought it would end why differently. I knew certain events were supposed to take place, but what I didn't know was how, other then the most obvious event. (Not the one you are thinking about right now. :) ). Ari has to make some tough decisions like should she trust Jackson again or push him away? Does she have what it takes to be the One everyone can count on? But sometimes learning the truth comes with consequences, just like Ari is going to figure out soon. This a most unexpected, irritating cliffhanger sequel I have ever read and it was absolutely fabulous!!! Now I want the third one, Collide.

Gravity (The Taking #1)

In the future, only one rule will matter:

Don’t. Ever. Peek.

Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed — arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die.

Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know — especially an alien spy, like Jackson. Giving Jackson the information he needs will betray her father and her country, but keeping silent will start a war.

Gravity (The Taking, #1)Gravity by Melissa West

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a marvelous book! Hot aliens who want peace and humans who want war. Only Ari and Jackson can stop the war from happening, assuming they keep their emotions in check. ;) The only other books about aliens I have read is the Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Those were amazing books, but this is totally different. The world is all for the Aliens Taking and the only thing stopping them from coexisting, and I mean living together in peace, are the humans. They want to kill the aliens, but not everyone thinks that way, especially Ari. She is the daughter of a man who is making weapons to kill the alien known as Ancients. I can understand why this book was praised so well. Absolutely amazing. I can't wait for my Taking!

The Infinite Moment of Us

For as long as she can remember, Wren Gray’s goal has been to please her parents. But as high school graduation nears, so does an uncomfortable realization: Pleasing her parents once overlapped with pleasing herself, but now... not so much. Wren needs to honor her own desires, but how can she if she doesn’t even know what they are?

Charlie Parker, on the other hand, is painfully aware of his heart’s desire. A gentle boy with a troubled past, Charlie has loved Wren since the day he first saw her. But a girl like Wren would never fall for a guy like Charlie—at least not the sort of guy Charlie believes himself to be.

And yet certain things are written in the stars. And in the summer after high school, Wren and Charlie’s souls will collide. But souls are complicated, as are the bodies that house them...

Sexy, romantic, and oh-so-true to life, this is an unforgettable look at first love from one of young adult fiction’s greatest writers.

The Infinite Moment of UsThe Infinite Moment of Us by Lauren Myracle

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an excellent book. The Infinite Moment of Us is about a girl who wants to be free and a guy who wants to be loved. It's so romantic. I thought that it would end differently. Lauren Myracle did a great job on addressing what some teens have to go through. Some children have to be adopted because their parents either doesn't have the money to care for them or just doesn't want the child. Some parents make all the decisions for their children. They dictate every aspect of their children's lives to go along with their plan.
This is definitely a YA book. This book shows how easy it is to ruin a relationship and how hard you have to work at it or how easy it is to fall in love. This book is best described as a novel worth reading because it will leave an infinite impression on you.

Nantucket Blue (Nantucket Blue #1)

For Cricket Thompson, a summer like this one will change everything. A summer spent on Nantucket with her best friend, Jules Clayton, and the indomitable Clayton family. A summer when she’ll make the almost unattainable Jay Logan hers. A summer to surpass all dreams.

Some of this turns out to be true. Some of it doesn’t.

When Jules and her family suffer a devastating tragedy that forces the girls apart, Jules becomes a stranger whom Cricket wonders whether she ever really knew. And instead of lying on the beach working on her caramel-colored tan, Cricket is making beds and cleaning bathrooms to support herself in paradise for the summer.

But it’s the things Cricket hadn’t counted on--most of all, falling hard for someone who should be completely off-limits--that turn her dreams into an exhilarating, bittersweet reality.

A beautiful future is within her grasp, and Cricket must find the grace to embrace it. If she does, her life could be the perfect shade of Nantucket blue.

Nantucket BlueNantucket Blue by Leila Howland

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I thought this book would have been better if there wasn't so much drama (no offense to those who like dramatic books). The cover is great, but when I started to read it, I kinda just zoned out and read like I wasn't there. The ending was great!! But there was a whole lot of drama. It is a book worth reading, but personally, not one of my favorites. I would recommend it to anyone who likes the drama of the summer before their senior year. The romance, betrayal, humor is what makes Nantucket Blue what it is.

The Beautiful and Cursed (The Beautiful and Cursed #1)

After a bizarre accident, Ingrid Waverly is forced to leave London with her mother and younger sister, Gabby, trading a world full of fancy dresses and society events for the unfamiliar city of Paris.

In Paris there are no grand balls or glittering parties, and, disturbingly, the house Ingrid’s twin brother, Grayson, found for them isn’t a house at all. It’s an abandoned abbey, its roof lined with stone gargoyles that could almost be mistaken for living, breathing creatures.

And Grayson has gone missing.

No one seems to know of his whereabouts but Luc, a devastatingly handsome servant at their new home.

Ingrid is sure her twin isn’t dead—she can feel it deep in her soul—but she knows he’s in grave danger. It will be up to her and Gabby to navigate the twisted path to Grayson, a path that will lead Ingrid on a discovery of dark secrets and otherworldly truths. And she’ll learn that once they are uncovered, they can never again be buried.

The Beautiful and the CursedThe Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In the beginning, I thought this book wouldn't be very good. I was wrong. This is a great book for those of you who like steampunk books. It has the same old story but with a twist. There are Angels, Demons and Gargoyles. Yes. I said gargoyles. The stone statues you would see on a church like in the movie the Hunchback of Notre Dame. THis book takes place in Paris, where Ingrid, her sister Gabby, and her mother find out that out that Ingrid's twin, Grayson, is missing. The only thing Ingrid wants to do is find, but there is more around the corner then just the strangely handsome servant, Luc. There is a whole other world that Gabby and Ingrid don't know about, but will soon play a huge part in.

I think this book was well written, giving all the main characters a chance to tell their side of the story. It is a multi-split book, as I call it. Multiple characters tell their side of the exact same story and that is what makes this book such an epic read. It's spontaneous! Who knew Gargoyles could be this handsome! I can't wait for the second book, The Lovely and the Lost, to come out!

This week's WoW book is........Toxic Heart (Mystic City, #2) by Theo Lawrence.

A city in flames. A trust betrayed. A perfect love destroyed.

Has Aria lost Hunter, her one true love?

Ever since rebellion broke out in Mystic City, pitting the ruling elite against the magic-wielding mystics, Aria has barely seen her boyfriend. Not surprising, since Hunter is the leader of the mystic uprising, and he'll do whatever it takes to win freedom for his people—even if that means using Aria.

But Aria is no one's pawn. She believes she can bring the two warring sides together, save the city, and win back the Hunter she fell in love with.

Before she can play peacemaker, though, Aria will need to find the missing heart of a dead mystic. The heart gives untold powers to whoever possesses it, but finding it means seeking out a fierce enemy whose deepest desire is for Aria to be gone—forever.

Mystic City Synopsis:

For fans of  Matched, The Hunger Games, X-Men, and Blade Runner comes a tale of a magical city divided, a political rebellion ignited, and a love that was meant to last forever. Book One of the Mystic City Novels.

Aria Rose, youngest scion of one of Mystic City's two ruling rival families, finds herself betrothed to Thomas Foster, the son of her parents' sworn enemies. The union of the two will end the generations-long political feud—and unite all those living in the Aeries, the privileged upper reaches of the city, against the banished mystics who dwell below in the Depths. But Aria doesn't remember falling in love with Thomas; in fact, she wakes one day with huge gaps in her memory. And she can't conceive why her parents would have agreed to unite with the Fosters in the first place. Only when Aria meets Hunter, a gorgeous rebel mystic from the Depths, does she start to have glimmers of recollection—and to understand that he holds the key to unlocking her past. The choices she makes can save or doom the city—including herself.

Such a Rush by Jennifer Echlos

A sexy and poignant romantic tale of a young daredevil pilot caught between two brothers.

When I was fourteen, I made a decision. If I was doomed to live in a trailer park next to an airport, I could complain about the smell of the jet fuel like my mom, I could drink myself to death over the noise like everybody else, or I could learn to fly.

Heaven Beach, South Carolina, is anything but, if you live at the low-rent end of town. All her life, Leah Jones has been the grown-up in her family, while her mother moves from boyfriend to boyfriend, letting any available money slip out of her hands. At school, they may diss Leah as trash, but she’s the one who negotiates with the landlord when the rent’s not paid. At fourteen, she’s the one who gets a job at the nearby airstrip.

But there’s one way Leah can escape reality. Saving every penny she can, she begs quiet Mr. Hall, who runs an aerial banner-advertising business at the airstrip and also offers flight lessons, to take her up just once. Leaving the trailer park far beneath her and swooping out over the sea is a rush greater than anything she’s ever experienced, and when Mr. Hall offers to give her cut-rate flight lessons, she feels ready to touch the sky.

By the time she’s a high school senior, Leah has become a good enough pilot that Mr. Hall offers her a job flying a banner plane. It seems like a dream come true . . . but turns out to be just as fleeting as any dream. Mr. Hall dies suddenly, leaving everything he owned in the hands of his teenage sons: golden boy Alec and adrenaline junkie Grayson. And they’re determined to keep the banner planes flying.

Though Leah has crushed on Grayson for years, she’s leery of getting involved in what now seems like a doomed business—until Grayson betrays her by digging up her most damning secret. Holding it over her head, he forces her to fly for secret reasons of his own, reasons involving Alec. Now Leah finds herself drawn into a battle between brothers—and the consequences could be deadly.

Such a RushSuch a Rush by Jennifer Echols

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I never thought this would be a book I liked. It had to do with airplanes and you never see a book with airplanes in it. I was wrong. Jennifer Echols did a marvelous job on this book. It was captivating. I could put this book down. I have read this book 3 times and it I just love it. It has everything a teen book should have and more!!! Two brothers, one girl. Romance, betrayal, tension, and understanding. It has everything. I totally recommend it for those who want a YA book that has everything your looking for and then some.

Leah is a brave girl who has to rely on herself to get things done. She is someone who doesn't put up with the tough stuff in life. She is someone I want as a friend. Grayson is an adrenaline junkie turned airport boss. He wants everything to go his way or no way. Alec is the golden boy with a desire for something different. (It's a taboo for Grayson!!!) Leah is forced to do something for Grayson. Something she never would have thought she would have to do. Grayson needs Leah, but not for the reason you think.

THis books is a five star book. I would give it more stars if I could. ITS A TO-READ BOOK!!!!

Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another

Significance (Significance, #1)Significance by Shelly Crane

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Such a great way to see the theory of "Soul Mates". Captivating. It gives me hope that we all have a soul mate. It makes me believe that we all have that one special person in out lives that make us feel happy with ourselves and others. I want to "imprint" with someone. Maggie and Caleb are so cute together and make the perfect couple. I understand Maggie's dilemma. Her dad just completely shuts down, she avoids people because of a breakup and what happened with her mother, and she just found her soul mate, or significant and must spend time with him. Makes me wonder what would happen if we all had significants. This book completely opened my eyes to a new view of the "soul mate" take. Recommend this to any women, (not men because I know you hate the mushy stuff), who needs a new book, or you are into fantasy, YA, paranormal stuff, and teen romance. It is a must read and a great re-read.

The Transfer (Divergent novella #1)

More Four! Fans of the Divergent series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth will be thrilled by "The Transfer," the first of four new short stories told from Four’s perspective. Each brief story explores the world of the Divergent series through the eyes of the mysterious but charismatic Tobias Eaton, revealing previously unknown facets of his personality, backstory, and relationships

The Transfer: A Divergent Story (Divergent, #0.1)The Transfer: A Divergent Story by Veronica Roth

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It is a novella. It might be short but it gives you an in-depth look at Tobias and how he grew up even though we know what happens from Divergent and Insurgent. It is brief, but it show Tobias before the Choosing Ceremony and Marcus, just like how Tobias describes him. Personally, it was too short for my liking but novellas are always too short. It was great, but now I want the other three books: The Initiate: A Divergent Story, The Son: A Divergent Story, and The Traitor: A Divergent Story.

Best book in the series so far!!! But I was so mad at the males for doing what they are doing to their mates. Just love them already. Let them heal you!!!!!!!! Jeez! I love this whole series, especially this book. It is the total package. Humor, betrayal, action, and so much more. LOVE JEN!!! She is so funny. I wish I had a friend like her. I wish there was another book. I didn't know that this book was coming out until two months ago, so maybe there is going to be another book. I can't wait for the next book to come out. This whole story begins with the book, Prince of Wolves and goes on from their. Love this series and anyone should try this series out. Sexually humor is in the books, but it is playful. In this not-so-brave new world, two young people struggle to carve out their own space.

Awaken (Awaken, #1)Awaken by Katie Kacvinsky

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Despite what the cover looks like, Awaken is a great book about how humans are "plugged in" rather then being social, having friends, and going outside. This book has a very different view on technology and where it is in everyday life. I recommend this book to those who like dystopian novels and who wants to look at a different view of world were technology is controlling everything. This book is about people who like the "old way" of life. The life of today were we go and set outside, look at nature, socialize face-to-face, and not stuck in our houses. A fascinating novel. It was quite a gripping, enjoyable, brilliant, worthwhile, and ingenues book. It made see and think of technology in a new light.

Maddie is the daughter of the creator of the DS system. DS stands for Digital School, hence everyone being inside on computers. Everything for nature to sports are now on computers. The trees are fake, there is no paper, there are not many places to be social or hangout like a coffee shop. EVERYTHING is online. Maddie just wants to be free and Justin helps with that. Justin is someone who loves to socialize, go and hang out with friends, and helps Maddie break out of her way of not speaking her mind. To just be honest. Thisbook has a very different view on technology and where it is in everyday life. I recommend this book to those who like dystopian novels and who wants to look at a different view of world were technology is controlling everything.

Consume (The Clann #3)

Tristan Coleman has survived the change from Clann magic user to vampire, much to Savannah Colbert's joy—and despair. By changing the Clann's golden boy and newly elected leader, even to save him from death, she has unleashed a fury of hatred and fear that they cannot escape.

As the Clann and the vampire council go to war, Tristan and Sav face a new threat—a fracturing of the all-consuming bond they share. To fight for peace, they must forge a new trust and risk everything to take down their deadliest enemy, even as they must run for their lives. Soon they will learn that some bonds are stronger than love—and some battles cannot be won without sacrifice.

Consume (The Clann, #3)Consume by Melissa Darnell

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great end to the trilogy. A different ending then I expected, but a great ending none the less. Samantha loves Tristan and would do anything for him, but changing him was something she didn't want to do. Yet she had to for Tristan to live. Now that he is half vampire, their relationship comes with a whole lot more problems.

The whole book was was way different then I expected, but isn't that how it always works. Tristan learns the problems that Sam had to deal with and Sam had to deal with a new Tristan. Problems arise, they are on the brink of war, and people die. After the first book, most of the second book besides the ending was pretty close to what I had imagined happening, but Consume was way different. If you haven't read the first two books, Crave and Covet, then you should read those first. If you like vampires, magic, paranormal romance, fantasy, and YA, you will love this series

She has the power to bring destruction on her home, but will Gem be there when the decision is made? Will they be lovers or enemies? A classic tale with a whole new twist! A must read for those who want a new twist in their ordinary life. WARNING: beware the roses!

Tiger's Curse (Tiger's Curse #1)

Passion. Fate. Loyalty.

Would you risk it all to change your destiny?

The last thing Kelsey Hayes thought she’d be doing this summer was trying to break a 300-year-old Indian curse. With a mysterious white tiger named Ren. Halfway around the world. But that’s exactly what happened. Face-to-face with dark forces, spellbinding magic, and mystical worlds where nothing is what it seems, Kelsey risks everything to piece together an ancient prophecy that could break the curse forever.

Tiger’s Curse is the exciting first volume in an epic fantasy-romance that will leave you breathless and yearning for more.

Tiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga, #1)Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck

Amazing. I couldn't put it down. It's a hopeless romantic's favorite book. You just can't help but love the characters, except the villain. It's a must read for everyone. Completely captivating. I have read a book like this. It is one of many favorite books. Now I have a white tiger obsession!!! Ren is a handsome, romantic, charming guy who is every girls dream in a guy. Kelsey is a smart, sarcastic, down to earth girl who know what she wants, but is afraid of what will happen when she lets her guard around her down. Colleen Houck did a fantastic job writing this book and I can't wait for the rest of the series.!!!!!

An assassin’s loyalties are always in doubt.
But her heart never wavers.

After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.

Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king's bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she's given a task that could jeopardize everything she's come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon -- forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.

Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?

Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2)Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Absolutely fabulous!!!! The next step up from the Throne of Glass. I couldn't stop reading. I had to see where this was going to go. The plots, the betrayals, the romance, and the friendships. Everything is at stake in this book and that just makes it all better. If you were wondering who are Celeana's parents were, you'll find out in this book, and then some. You will find out what makes her Celeana, who is she and who her parents are, and who is beg=hind her parents death as well as the murderer of a friend hers. It is a most read. But before this, read the Throne of Glass. Sarah Mass did a fabulous job for the sequal and I can't wait to find out whats in store for Celeana, Chaol, and Dorian.
